Martin was baptized in the eighteenth year of his age.
Remaining two years in the army at the request of his tribune, but longing for complete service to the Lord.
Entirely taken with the obligations of his baptism he has little more than the name of a soldier,
and expressed much impatience at being detained one moment from devoting himself solely to the divine service.
The artist who created this artwork for St. Martin's signed it BAMorano.
